Purpose:

The Friends of the Children – Tampa YPB is a group of dedicated young professionals committed to supporting Friends of the Children - Tampa through fundraising, volunteering, and raising awareness. Whether members bring personal resources or a strong network to tap into, they will play a vital role in organizing events, increasing volunteer engagement, and leveraging connections to empower youth facing the greatest obstacles through long-term mentorship. YPB also provides opportunities for members to develop leadership skills, build connections, and prepare for future roles on the board of directors.

Mission:

The Friends of the Children – Tampa Young Professional Board is a group of socially conscious and dedicated young professionals serving to further the mission of Friends - Tampa. Specifically, the Friends – Tampa YPB strives to:

• Serve in a fundraising capacity for Friends - Tampa by tapping into personal networks across the Tampa community and beyond.

• Create events to support and heighten awareness about Friends – Tampa’s overall mission.

• Increase the volunteer base of Friends - Tampa among young professionals.

• Provide an opportunity for professionals to develop their philanthropic leadership skills.

• Create a networking and social environment for professionals.

• Prepare young professionals for eligibility to serve on the board of directors.
