Kandace Nunn Johnson is a multifaceted creative with over 20 years of experience in curating and executing successful arts and culture programming. Kandace’s passion for the arts, leadership, and fostering a global creative community drives her multifaceted roles as an artistic director, arts administrator, dance educator, choreographer, creative director, and entrepreneur.
A Tampa native, her experiences have spanned vibrant cultural hubs such as Philadelphia, New York, Tampa, Chicago, Washington DC, and even internationally in Ghana. Kandace’s journey is marked by a profound knowledge of artistic direction and innovation and the ability to cultivate essential relationships and invaluable partnerships with community members, organizations, funders, and volunteers. She is dedicated to optimizing community awareness, nurturing growth, and achieving corporate success through collaborative endeavors. Kandace is a Community Engagement Specialist at Patel Conservatory as a Dance Educator. She’s been featured for her journey on 10 Tampa Bay News Beautiful People: Helping kids build confidence through dance. Kandace is an active member of several community organizations, such as Gamma Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and The Greater Tampa Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
